CAMP 4 · 7,200 M  ·  SEARCH & AI VISIBILITY

Be the answer —
on Google, and inside the AI.

Search didn't die; it multiplied. Your customers now ask search engines and AI assistants — and your brand needs to be found, understood and accurately represented in both. One practice, two disciplines: SEO for the rankings, GEO for the answers.

The Question Moved
Two ways to be asked for

Your customers didn't stop searching. They started asking twice.

The same person who Googles "best CRM for small agencies" now also asks ChatGPT, Gemini or Perplexity the same question — and increasingly trusts the answer that comes back. Being absent from either surface is a form of invisibility. Being misrepresented in the AI's answer can be worse.

  • Clicks are shrinking. AI Overviews and assistant answers resolve more questions on the results page itself — the classic blue-link click is no longer the only prize.
  • Citations are growing in value. When an assistant names three brands in its answer, being one of the three matters more than ranking eighth on page one ever did.
  • Nobody owns the answer. Most teams have no idea how AI assistants currently describe them — or whether the description is even accurate.
  • The old playbook only covers half the mountain. Classic SEO still matters enormously. It just no longer covers everywhere your customers ask.
Surface one · Search engines

"Show me the options."

Google and other engines still drive the majority of discoverable intent. Ranking, relevance and site quality remain the price of entry — and they compound over time.

Surface two · AI assistants

"Just tell me the answer."

ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and their peers synthesise an answer and cite their sources. If your brand isn't machine-readable and cite-worthy, you're simply not in the conversation.

Practice A · SEO
Practice A Search Engine Optimization

The classic climb, done properly.

Sustainable organic growth built on technical soundness and content your audience actually wants — no tricks, no shortcuts that Google's next update will punish, no link schemes. Just the disciplined work that compounds.

Technical SEO

Audits & fixes

Crawlability, indexation, site performance, Core Web Vitals, internationalisation — found, prioritised, fixed and verified.

Machine-readability

Structured data

Schema.org markup implemented and validated, so search engines understand what your pages actually are — products, articles, organisations, FAQs.

Strategy

Content architecture

Keyword and intent research turned into a content plan and site structure that maps to how your customers actually search — across APAC markets and languages.

Craft

Content optimization

Existing pages strengthened, gaps filled, cannibalisation resolved — with editorial quality that earns rankings rather than gaming them.

Proof

Organic measurement

Search Console, analytics and rank tracking wired into honest reporting — so you see what's growing, what's stalling and why.

Principle

No tricks

We optimise for the searcher first and the algorithm second. It's slower than the shady route — and it's the only route that lasts.

The pain it removes: a website that ranks nowhere, traffic that erodes with every algorithm update, and content nobody asked for.

Practice B · GEO
Practice B Generative Engine Optimization · also known as AEO / LLMO

The new face of the mountain.

GEO — generative engine optimization — is the emerging discipline of making your brand visible, accurate and cite-worthy inside AI-generated answers: ChatGPT, Gemini, Google AI Overviews, Perplexity and the assistants your customers ask next. The industry also calls it AEO or LLMO; whatever the label, the work is the same — being present, machine-readable and correctly represented where answers are synthesised.

Baseline

AI-visibility audit

How do the major assistants describe your brand today — and whom do they cite instead of you? We establish the baseline before touching anything.

Foundations

Entity & structured-data groundwork

Clear entity definitions, consistent facts across your site and profiles, structured data that lets machines resolve who you are without guessing.

Content

Answer-ready restructuring

Content reorganised so it can be quoted: direct answers to real questions, clean headings, extractable facts, sources a generative engine can lift with confidence.

Proof

AI-citation tracking

Recurring measurement of how often, how accurately and in what context assistants mention and cite you — plus AI-referred traffic where platforms expose it.

Honest expectations

This discipline is young, and nobody can guarantee placement in an AI answer — the models change, the retrieval changes, and anyone promising you a spot in ChatGPT's output is selling weather, not routes. What can be engineered: being present in the sources assistants draw from, being machine-readable, being accurately represented — and measuring how often the AI mentions you, so progress is visible instead of vibes.

The pain it removes: a brand the AI assistants have never heard of — or worse, one they describe wrongly and nobody noticed.

One Mountain · Two Routes Up
Why one practice, not two

SEO and GEO are one climb.

They share the same lower slopes — and split only near the top. That's why we run them as one practice on one roadmap, not two vendors pulling your site in different directions.

Shared foundation

Clean structure

A crawlable, fast, well-organised site serves Googlebot and a retrieval pipeline alike. Every technical fix works double duty.

Shared foundation

Authoritative content

Genuinely useful, accurate, well-sourced content is what engines rank and what generative models cite. There is no GEO shortcut around being worth quoting.

Shared foundation

Machine-readability

Structured data and entity clarity tell search engines what to rank — and tell language models who you are and what's true about you.

Where they diverge: SEO optimises for the click — position, snippet, landing experience. GEO optimises for the citation — presence, accuracy and attribution inside a synthesised answer. Same mountain, different summit ridges.

Three Ways to Climb

Like every camp on our route, Search & AI Visibility comes in three engagement modes:

Advise

Search & AI-visibility audits, competitive baselines, prioritised roadmaps

Build

Technical fixes, structured data, entity groundwork, content revamp

Run

Ongoing optimization, content operations and AI-visibility monitoring

Straight answers

Questions we'd want answered too.

Can you guarantee we appear in ChatGPT or AI Overviews?

No — and you should distrust anyone who says yes. Generative answers are produced by models and retrieval systems that change without notice, and no external party controls what they output.

What we can control: whether your brand is present in the sources assistants draw from, whether your content is structured so machines can read and quote it, whether the facts about you are consistent enough to be represented accurately — and whether you're measuring your AI visibility, so you know if it's improving. That's engineering. Placement guarantees are fiction.

Is GEO just SEO rebranded?

No — but they're relatives. GEO shares SEO's foundations (clean structure, authoritative content, machine-readability), which is exactly why we run them as one practice. Where they differ is the objective: SEO earns a ranking and a click; GEO earns presence and accurate citation inside a synthesised answer. The tactics diverge at the top — answer-ready content structure, entity consistency and citation tracking are GEO work that classic SEO never needed.

How do you measure AI visibility?

Systematically, and with honesty about the limits. We run a recurring set of the questions your customers actually ask against the major assistants, and track whether you're mentioned, whether you're cited as a source, and whether the description is accurate. Alongside that, we monitor AI-referred traffic where platforms expose it, and watch the retrieval surfaces (such as AI Overviews) that can be observed directly. It's a young measurement field — we'd rather show you a defensible baseline and a trend than a precise-looking number nobody can stand behind.

Do we need both SEO and GEO?

Almost certainly, because your customers already use both surfaces. Classic search still carries most discoverable intent today, so abandoning SEO to chase AI answers would be premature. But assistant usage is growing, and GEO's foundations take time to compound — starting after your competitors are already the cited answer is the expensive way to learn. The good news: because the two share their lower slopes, most of the work serves both at once.
